Had them come out and do about 10 hours of various Handyman tasks around the house such as hanging a new light, some dry wall repairs, painting, and fixing some broken screens. They did a great job with every project.

Excellent response to request for proposal; complete quotation with competitive pricing; quick response to request for a change in scope of project; timely schedule after award to HMC; excellent workmanship and overall installation. We are very satisfied with HMC and will definitely contact them for future projects.

We had a very bad experience with Handyman Connection and I would not recommend them at all. The contractor complained from the minute he walked in our home and it was obvious he didn't know how to complete the work proficiently. Looking back we should have asked him to leave the 1st day but needless to say we ended up with a bath and sink that is not level and a floor that is not smooth. Poor craftsmanship, the tilework was not done well and is crooked- we found out AFTER he did our job that he had been fired from the company- at our expense though, and at that point it was too bad for us. They did send someone else out but it was impossible to fix the mistakes he had made (a tub that was not level even though we paid EXTRA to have it leveled) It's a pity we had to end up with a very poorly redone bathroom that I look at every day. Save yourself a headache and very poorly done work and steer clear of Handyman Connection.

I contacted Handyman Connection a few weeks ago for an estimate on a small business project and everything seemed alright when they viewed the space. I felt like Handyman Connection would be able to help with some of my project, but I never heard back from them. They never provided me with an estimate and I never received a response about the job after several attempts to contact the manager. I felt as though if Handyman Connection could not help me with the project they could have said that from the beginning without wasting my time.

I used Handyman Connections a year ago for some tile work. The initial service for the quote was great and the service technician who completed the work was professional but over the past year my grout has cracked. This year I was going to have my bathroom remodeled so I contacted Handyman Connections again. Jon Robinson, who was diffiferent from the first guy who quoted me but was the general manager of the Cincinnati branch, came out to my house on a Thursday to quote my project. He mentioned that he was backed up with clients and asked if he could send the quote via email on Monday. I agreed. After 2-2.5 weeks I was calling him numerous times to get the quote. The initial quote was sent but there were two or three things that were on the quote that we didn't even discuss. He clearly didn't remember what we had talked about. After the quote was correct I agreed to proceed with Handyman Connections and they were going to fix the cracked grout free of charge. The service technician showed up at my house and a list of all the material needed was created. I was to call him personally as soon as my shower arrived (it was special ordered). All materials were bought so I called the person who would complete my job. He was also called for about 2 weeks. When I finally got in touch with him and he said that he hasn't been working for Handyman Connections for almost a month. I called Jon Robison that day and he acted as if he just found out that the technician was no longer working for him although he is the one that links the projects with the technician. There was never a call made to me to let me know that the technician would no longer be working on my project. In fact there was no call to see why it was taking longer to start the project. I spoke with Jon and he couldn't explain why this happened. I have now called corporate for two days and have not yet spoken to anyone. The first day I never received a return phone call from them so I called again two days later. The dispatch center sent me to Michelle. When the dispatch center returned to the phone, they said that corporate was not in their office today and that Michelle would not take my call. The more I've learned about this company over the past few days the more I don't trust anything they say or do. If someone in the corporate office won’t take a phone call from a customer do you really trust them? Would you really want them working on your house? I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. If they believe this is how business should be conducted they will not stay in business.

My wife and I have used Handyman connection for many years. We have had them come out for plumbing issues, electrical issues in addition to carpentry. We had used them at our old house when our home warranty expired. Now since we have moved into a newer home we have not needed their services as much but we would highly recommend them as we have found them to do good work with reliability for a very fair price. We will be using them again for a smaller project this Summer of 2012 and hope to continue with their services when needed.

Please DO NOT waste your time with this company, HANDYMAN CONNECTION! Save yourself some time and headache down the line and go with a much more reputable company! A warranty means nothing if the craftsman is NOT experienced in the level of expertise required for the job. THEY will tell you whatever you need to hear on the initial consultation to get the job, but then will not follow through on the initial verbal agreement! I received quotes from HANDYMAN CONNECTION for several jobs. The quotes were comparable in comparison to the other quotes, however, the method of delivery WAS NOT COMPARABLE! They told me that the person in question had experience installing fencing, in this case vinyl fencing. However, he was rude, unprofessional, unskilled and wanted to install the fencing how he wanted to (not according to standard industry practices) and not what we agreed on initially. The contract was vague and did not contain the details, therefore, they could do whatever they wanted even though the verbal discussions were different! They botched up the fencing that I purchased and did not want to reimburse me for all of the money that I spent replacing it. Then they had me order parts that THEY DID NOT use! On the job training at your job BY HANDYMAN CONNECTION DOES NOT EQUAL EXPERIENCE! They were not on time and dragged the project out into winter! Do yourself a favor and AVOID THIS COMPANY, HANDYMAN CONNECTION, is not a connection that you want to make! According to the other contractor that I used, he has FIXED several jobs botched up by their contractors!

I've used Handyman Connection for about 12-15 different projects over the last 3 years. Their staff is very professional, on-time, very skilled and willing to take the time to understand what I'm trying to accomplish. I've used other services. No longer. They are my first and only call. When my wife gives me a "honey to-do-list" I just call Handyman because they're prices are very affordable. I am planning some major improvements this summer and I will be calling Handyman to help me.

I decided to go with Handyman Connection after getting about 5 estimates. Handyman Connection provided me with a reasonable estimate and the job was completed within the time frame to perfection. The final cost was even lower than the estimate! All in all, I am very satisfied with the work done by Handyman Connection and would recommend them to anyone who is in need of a home repair/remodel. I have been a loyal customer of Handyman Connection for 3 years. Each time I call them and explain what I need (even if it's in very vague terms), they send out a craftsman who knows exactly what I want. They have remodeled my kitchen, repapered my living and dining rooms, and done countless little chores around my house. I wholeheartedly recommend them! Louise A Brouillette

I've called Handyman Connection on several occassions for various jobs. They have all been completed to our satisfaction - including a new kitchen floor, more kitchen cabinet space, replacement of some wood under our gutters, and moving a wall in our basement! Thanks for helping us get jobs done that we couldn't do ourselves! amv

I had scheduled a simple bathroom job that would have taken no longer than a day to complete. I had used HandyMan Connection before in the past with very satisfactory ratings, and have even relied them to friends. So I had no problem one year later scheduling another job. We got a very low estimate for the job, put down a deposit and had a scheduled date of June 20 for work to begin. On the morning of June 20th, we received a phone call canceling the project for the day due to the handyman not being able to "find the proper parts". The parts had been a 3-surround tub enclosure. We went up to Lowes (the same one we agreed on using with the Handyman) that same day and they had 100s of those parts available. We rescheduled for the Wednesday (June 25) of next week. On June 24, we received a phone call from the very polite reception lady saying that the job was going to start June 29th. We corrected her and told her that we were promised June 25th. We were then told there was no way for them to work on it June 25th and that we had to have the work done June 29th. We requested some sort of resolution, since this was the SECOND mistake on their part, and they offered $25 off. We had already taken off work and lost about $100 in lost work so this simple discount was not going to cut it. So we ended up canceling the job. Who's to say they wouldn't cancel again on that Friday?? To top it off, the handyman scheduled to do our work lied and said he had talked to my husband and I about the schedule change and said that we agreed to make his appointment with us "flexible". This is bullocks. They never called us until that Tuesday and NEVER did we speak to the handyman about having flexible appointments. The whole concept of having flexible appointments doesn't even make sense! If you make an appointment, then you KEEP the appointment (not change the day of the appointment twice!!). So as you can see, we are quite upset and appalled at this corrupt and unreliable business practice. The quality and reliability of this company has bombed since I had my first job done by them in June 2006. They canceled twice, and only offered 25 dollars off. This is ridiculous. If they had a client cancel on them twice they would have never served that client again. So it's best to save yourself time and money, and use a different contractor, or just do the job yourself. That is what my husband and I ended up doing! We waited for them for over two weeks and finally dropped their business due to their unreliability and untrustworthy business practice.
